We were delighted to have a full house at CDS's golden anniversary event at the Holiday Inn on August 10th. We were joined by staff, board members, volunteers, and community partners from across the past five decades, as we celebrated our past, present, and future as a community of peacemakers.

A Busy Summer for Trainings

Between June - August, our trainers delivered 18 trainings on a variety of topics, including:

• Basic Mediation Training
• Custody and Visitation Mediation Training
• Restorative Circles for Community Building (Tier 1)
• Restorative Circles for Conflict and Harm (Tier 2)
• Restorative Conversations
• Advanced Tier 2 Restorative Practices
• Implicit Bias and Microaggressions

Staff Updates

Welcome to Danielle Betts, our new Director of Finance & Operations!

Danielle comes to us with tremendous passion for the nonprofit world, a great deal of enthusiasm and experience in the areas of finance, budgeting, grant management, and fundraising, and a deep commitment to diversity and anti-racism work. Her recent financial management experiences have been at Jewish Family Services, LPWolch CPAs, and the Memorial Art Gallery. 

We are very grateful to the staff at EDI Executive Search/Consulting Firm, especially Mohammed (Mo) Ahamed and Cassandra Thompson, for leading the search process.
