AmeriCorps Volunteer Positions
The Center for Dispute Settlement has exciting AmeriCorps volunteer positions beginning in August. This is an amazing opportunity for anyone interested in learning about and using Conflict Resolution, Mediation and Restorative Practices skills. AmeriCorps members for the 2019-20 year will receive a $14,000 Living allowance and are eligible for a Tuition voucher of $7,000 following completion of their one-year commitment. These specialized AmeriCorps positions work under the direction of CDS staff and each member will be able to become a certified Mediator as well as receiving extensive training in other Restorative Practices and other dispute resolution processes. This year there are 3 types of placements: Directly assigned to schools, General Youth Dispute Resolution programs and Mediation Case Management positions working directly at a CDS office.
If you're a recent college graduate interested in the Conflict Resolution and Restorative Justice fields this opportunity is like tuition free graduate immersion studies where you'll learning, use and gain program implementation experience. All while receiving a $14000 living allowance and a $7000 tuition voucher that can also be used toward tuition debt.
